Materials:
2 yards ribbon, cord or
plastic lacing, plus
1 extra yard of ribbon or
cord
1 key ring or lanyard hook
56 coral pony beads
15 lime green pony beads
5 purple pony beads
2 white pony beads
Black sharpie marker or
craft paint pen for drawing on eyes.
Purple sharpie marker of
craft paint pen for drawing on eyelids.
Special
Instructions: I found it easier to make the body using
the 2 yards of ribbon first and then adding the arms using an
extra yard of ribbon. After making the body, tie knots as
shown. Refer to figure 2 for
making and attaching the arms. Using the
extra yard of ribbon, center it by going through the second row
consisting of 5 beads on the body. You should have an equal
amount of ribbon on both sides to make the
arms. On one side add on 10 coral beads
and weave back through the beads as shown. Do the same on
the other side. After finishing the second arm, weave the
loose strand through the row of beads on the
body, just above the pants, (see
diagram). The two loose strands should now be on the same
side. Pull tightly and tie a knot.
