                     Materials:

2 yards ribbon, cord or plastic lacing
1 key ring or lanyard hook
                    56 red pony beads
                    2 black pony beads

Special Instructions: Follow the string path carefully for this project. Begin beading the first row, (the row with the black eyes). Next you will make the claws. On one strand, lace on 5 beads. Weave back
through bead #4. Add on 2 more beads, #6&7, and weave back through bead #6. Weave the strand back through beads #3,2,1. This completes one claw, and repeat on the other strand. Row 2 is 6 beads
of the body. Then again using on strand, make a leg consisting of 4 beads and repeat on the other side. Row 3 is 6 beads again for the body, followed by a leg on both sides. Make another set of legs
(the last set). End with 4 beads to complete row 4 of the body and tie knots.

I found it easier to make the last set of legs before completing the last row of the body. I was able to tie knots without having a large gap between the legs and last row.

Wire Instructions: If you plan on making this pattern with wire and without a key ring, simply begin by stringing on the first row of beads, (the row with the eyes) into the center of the
wire. Don’t cross back through. Next, make the claws following the string path illustration and instructions. Continue with the rest of the pattern.

Please Note: I found this pattern on Pinterest made with wire and seed beads. There were many questions as to how to begin the project and for help with constructing the claws.
I have listed the designer as ”UNKNOWN”.

I am not taking credit for the pattern/design, just for the illustration and instructions
and hope my illustrated instructions will help answer any questions.
