Materials:

yards ribbon, cord or plastic lacing
1 key ring or lanyard hook
16 goldenrod or yellow pony beads
15 white pony beads
13 red pony beads
1 black pony bead
Black sharpie marker or craft paint pen for drawing on eyes.
Optional:  Scrap of split goldenrod or yellow yarn, for whiskers and craft needle.

Special Instructions:  Begin by adding on 1 white bead in the usual manner.  On each side of the string, add 1 white and 1 goldenrod bead and go back through the white bead.  Using one strand, add on 2 white, 2 goldenrod and 1 black bead.  Weave back through the 2 goldenrod, and 2 white beads.  Continue on with pattern.  Add tail after completing the legs.  You can make a straight tail by going through all of the beads like the arms or skip beads (as shown in pattern) to make a curly looking tail.  Tie knots.  If desired, using a craft needle, insert scrap of yarn through white beads on nose (as shown) for whiskers.
