Materials:
3 yards ribbon, cord or plastic lacing
1 key ring or lanyard hook
46 tan pony beads
29 turquoise or teal pony beads
7 black pony beads
2 red pony beads
2 white pony beads
Black sharpie marker or craft paint for drawing on eyes.
Special Instructions: Note that this pattern begins without the start of a key ring or lanyard. From the bottom make the 3 rows in the usual manner. Follow the string path to make the sets of 2 side whiskers then the row of 7 teal beads.
With one strand, make the row of 3-D whiskers, and go back through the previous row of teal beads. Next make the row with the eyes. Add on 6 tan beads going back through only 5 beads. Add 1 tan bead onto the left strand and 5 beads on the right strand. With the left strand, go back through only 4 of the beads. Add on the key ring or lanyard and 5 more beads in the usual manner. Pull the left strand through the first bead of the previous row and also the next, then knot. With the other strand, lace on 19 tan beads. Bring the strand through the bead marked with a . Skip the first bead and go back through beads 2 through 12. Bring strand through the second row from the bottom and knot.
