Quiver, the Bear

designed by Evelyn McDermand

Materials:

2 1/2 yards ribbon, cord or plastic lacing
1 key ring or lanyard hook
91 white pony beads
8 black pony beads
8 orange pony beads

Special Instructions:  Begin with the first bead of the head.  Then make the ears and continue with the pattern.  When you get to the scarf, follow the
string pattern carefully.  String on 1 black, 1 orange, 1 black and 1 orange bead.  Go back through the black, orange and black bead.  This completes
one strand of the scarf.  For the other strand, don’t go through all five beads on that row.  From the black bead in that row, you will string on 1 orange,
1 black, 1 orange and 1 black bead.  Then go back through the orange, black, orange and the black bead plus the other three beads in that row to end
up with the string on the right side.  Next, you make the arms and then continue with the body.  The tail is done using one strand.  String on all 11 white
beads, then weave back through as shown and weave the strand back through the 4th row of beads on the body to connect.  Tie knots.

*Note: the one strand of the scarf should lay on top of the white beads.
