Sakura, the Bear

designed by Evelyn McDermand

            Materials:

2 ½  yards ribbon, cord or plastic lacing
1 key ring or lanyard hook
            82 light pink pony beads
            3 black pony beads
            1 light pink mini bead
            1 light pink flower bead*
Scrap of ¼ inch light pink ribbon for bow

*I found the flower beads in a package at WalMart and have seen them at Michael’s also.

Special Instructions:  Begin with the first bead of the head.  Then make the ears and continue with the pattern. When you get to the flower, pay close
attention to the string path.  You go through the center of the flower, add on the mini bead and then back down through the center of the flower and through
the remaining 3 beads to complete the row  The flower will rest on top of the bead.  Take the scrap piece of ribbon and weave it through the last bead
marked with a star.  Tie a bow and add a drop of glue to the knot to secure.
