Snowman Star
Materials:
2 ˝ yards ribbon, cord or plastic lacing
1 key ring or lanyard hook
1 red pony bead
8 green pony beads
2 black pony beads
45 white pony beads
1 mini orange pony bead
Black sharpie marker or craft paint pen for drawing on eyes.
Special Instructions: Follow the
string path carefully in diagram #1 for making the star points
and middle.
Diagram #2-To attach the star points, pull one of the strands through the bead marked as #1 and do the same for the other strand. This diagram shows only the beads that will be added along with the string path. With one strand, add on beads #2 &3 and go through beads #4, 5 & 6. Add on two more white beads and go through beads #7 & 8. Repeat this process on the other side. In the usual manner, add 2 white beads. Then with one strand, add on the mini orange bead to create a 3-D nose and going back through the 2 white beads. Add the last black bead with the other strand and go back through the same 2 white beads. Both strands should be opposite each other from the two white beads. Using one strand, go down through the newly added 2 white beads, the white bead marked W on the body, and through beads #3&2. Repeat on the other side with the other strand. With both strands go up through the middle black bead and weave strands like normal through the top black bead. Tie knots on the side of black bead.
