Stretch, the Ostrich

designed by Evelyn McDermand

Materials:

4 yards ribbon, cord or plastic lacing 1 lanyard hook
84 tan pony beads
67 brown pony beads
29 white pony beads
2 translucent goldenrod pony beads
Black sharpie marker or craft paint to draw on eyes and nostrils

Note: You don’t begin with a lanyard hook. It is added where indicated by the star.
Lace the hook on just as you would a bead. Also, follow the string path carefully around the wings.

Special Instructions for the feet: Lace 16 tan beads on one strand. This will be for the leg. Next, lace on
2 beads and go back through the first bead of the two. Lace on 4 beads and go back through the first two beads.
This will complete the foot, then continue weaving back up (two beads at a time) to form the leg.
