Beedrill - Pokémon #15

designed by Evelyn McDermand

Materials:

3 yards ribbon, cord or plastic lacing (for body)
3 yards cord or plastic lacing (for wings)
1 key ring or lanyard hook
96 light blue pony beads (for wings)
32 goldenrod pony beads
9 black pony beads
6 ivory pony beads
2 red pony beads
54 black pearl mini pony beads (arms & legs)
16 light blue mini pony beads (hands)
1 5 inch piece of black chenille stem (for antenna)

Special Instructions: It is easier to make the body first, and then make and attach the wings. After making the body, weave the 3 yard strand of cord through the yellow bead as indicated by the black star, making sure that the cord is centered. On one side, using one strand, make one large wing and one small. Weave the end of that strand through the yellow bead of the body, indicated by the red star.

Do the same for the other side using the other strand. Next, on both strands, lace on 4 more light blue beads. Go back through the first 3 beads of the large wing and the first 2 beads of the small wing with one strand. Do the same for the other side and pull tightly. This procedure will make the wings come closer together. Tie the two strands together. Add the chenille stem by sliding it through the first row of beads at the top and shape to form antenna.
